Infant Feeding Lunch & Learn: Webinar
Published: 20th August 2026
Community Pharmacy Scotland is supporting to promote an upcoming webinar from colleagues at Public Services Delivery Scotland.
Community pharmacy teams are often the first port of call for new mums seeking advice on breast and nipple pain, and requests for thrush treatments are a routine part of that. Breast and nipple pain are also among the most common reasons women stop breastfeeding. Thrush has long been treated as one of the main causes, but current evidence suggests the picture is more complicated, which makes this session relevant to anyone supporting breastfeeding families through the pharmacy.
"The Thrush Myth: What Really Causes Breastfeeding Pain?" is the next session in the Infant Feeding Lunch & Learn webinar series. It will look at the latest evidence on breast pain, revisit long-held assumptions about Candida, and cover practical approaches to assessment and management.
