Charity Golf Day - Blood Bikes Scotland

It’s finally here. The CPS Golf Day is Teeing off tomorrow at 10:30am at the prestigious Mar Hall Golf & Spa Resort

This is one of the most important dates in the golfing calendar, just behind the Masters. Our Chief Executive Matt Barclay takes on 16 of the finest teams, to ever grace the game of golf. All competing to be the CPS Golf Day Champion.

There might not be a green jacket at the end, but what they do get is far more rewarding - a chance to support a great cause, Blood Bikes. The four Blood Bike groups operating across Scotland were established to provide a free-of-charge, professional, rapid-response medical transport service for NHS Scotland. Their purpose is defined in NABB's constitution as "the advancement of health and the saving of lives." They deliver blood, blood products, specimens, medications including controlled drugs, documents, and smaller pieces of medical equipment between NHS sites, patients' homes, and care facilities across Scotland - 365 days a year, in all weathers.

As a 100% volunteer-based charity, all funds raised go directly to purchasing and running their fleets of high-visibility motorcycles and cars. They have saved the NHS several million pounds since their formation. Events like these really do help to support Blood Bikes to do what they do.
