Endometriosis Awareness Month - March 2026
Published: 5th March 2026
Endometriosis Awareness Month takes place throughout March and aims to improve understanding of a condition that affects many women and girls across Scotland and the wider UK. Community Pharmacy Scotland is sharing this message on behalf of the Scottish Government to help raise awareness and encourage access to appropriate support.
Endometriosis Awareness Month is taking place throughout March and is dedicated to raising awareness about endometriosis, a chronic and painful condition affecting many women across the UK. This month provides an opportunity to encourage those who are experiencing symptoms to seek medical advice from their GP practice as well as increase public understanding of the condition.
Endometriosis is an often‑debilitating condition which affects around 1 in 10 women and girls throughout the UK, who are often not only impacted by chronic pain, but live with a condition which can also impact their fertility, mental wellbeing and day‑to‑day life.
The aim of this activity is to increase awareness of the condition and common symptoms among the wider society so they are able to better understand endometriosis and support women and girls they may know who have the condition, or get help for troublesome symptoms that they have been experiencing for some time.
We’re asking for your support to share Endometriosis Awareness Month resources across your network to help us reach as many people as possible.
