Please find below a message from our colleagues at NES, who are preparing to begin the recruitment for 2025/26 Foundation Year (Pre-reg) pharmacists. Please note - there are a few changes to the process for this year, so it's important even for contractors who do this every year to read this message fully before applying!
NES Foundation Training Year (FTY) Recruitment for the 2025/26 Training Year – OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE NOW!
As part of the preparations for the recruitment process for the summer 2025 intake of FTY trainee pharmacists (previously pre-registration pharmacist training), NES are now seeking expressions of interest from Training Providers who would like to participate in the process. Please note from 2025/26 all FTY posts in Scotland must recruit via this national process administered by NES due to GPhC accreditation requirements. There are some significant changes to the process, particularly for those who utilise preference lists – so please make sure to read and understand the following detail and links:
Prior to registering you should review the Training Provider Handbook which can be found here for information on the recruitment process and the commitment required from Training Providers. This includes agreement with the terms of participation linked in the form and details on how you can choose to offer your programmes.
If you intend to offer foundation training year posts in the FTY 2025/26 training year, please register your details using the Training Provider Information (TPI) link - https://nes-tpi.azurewebsites.net/Public/EOI.
The deadline for expressions of interest is Wednesday, 6th March 2024 at 12pm.
It should not take any longer than 10 minutes to read and complete this form, as we appreciate how busy pharmacy organisations are.
Once you have completed the expression of interest form, we will be in touch to confirm you can log in to TPI to edit your Training Provider Information Statement (TPIS). If you were involved in recruitment for 2024/25 training year, you will already have your logins for the TPI site. If that is the case, please do not start completing your TPIS until you receive our confirmation of registration email.
If you are new to the process, we will provide TPI logins and guidance on how to complete your TPIS once contact information has been confirmed. Our confirmation of registration email will provide further instructions.
If you would like to get in touch with any queries about FTY Recruitment - Please contact us via our Service Desk Recruitment Query - HR Trainee Services - Jira Service Management (atlassian.net).
