GPhC Registration Assessment Results
Published: 09/12/21
Our colleagues at NES have asked us to pass on the following message to contractors who are currently supporting Foundation Year (previously pre-reg) trainees.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is aware that your provisionally registered pharmacists will be receiving the results from the November 2021 GPhC registration assessment before 9am on Friday 17th December.
The GPhC has outlined the process here.
Those who pass will then need to apply for full registration as a pharmacist. Until they are formally on the main register, they remain provisionally registered. Please note the Provisional register will close on 31st January 2022 and all provisionally registered pharmacists must join the main register, to continue to practise as a pharmacist after this date.
Those who do not pass cannot continue to work as a provisionally registered pharmacist, we recommend that employers consider contingency plans should their provisionally registered pharmacists not be able to continue working as a pharmacist on 17th December 2021.
If you employ any provisionally registered pharmacists working in Scotland who are unsuccessful and unfortunately have failed the November assessment, we ask that you please get in touch with NES as soon as possible at pharmacy@nes.scot.nhs.uk
