CPS Represents Scottish Contractors at RPS Workforce Summit

Published: 09/10/25

This week Adam from the Policy team headed to the RPS Offices in London to take part in a national discussion on early years career development for pharmacists, bringing our experience of the current Post-registration Foundation framework and thoughts on the Enhanced curriculum that will replace it as we enter 2026.

The discussions centred on how we grow confidence and competence following registration, developing the skills and abilities needed to deliver increasingly complex services. For the Scottish context, we are looking specifically at how prescribing as part of Pharmacy First is best implemented and supported for new registrants from next year onwards - with the CPS Board considering this in detail in the coming months alongside our Scottish Government colleagues.
