Business Support Assistant

Hours: Full time (35 hours per week), hybrid office/home basis.

Salary: £32,000 per annum

About the role

Community Pharmacy Scotland (CPS) represents and supports community pharmacy contractors across Scotland. We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Business Support Assistant to join our Audit and Services Team.

This is a key role within the organisation, providing essential administrative, financial and operational support to ensure the smooth running of CPS activities. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation, supporting governance processes, financial administration, events, and day-to-day operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role and is keen to contribute and support a collaborative team environment.

About you

We are looking for someone who is highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

A confident communicator, both written and verbal.

Be proactive, flexible and able to manage a varied workload and a collaborative team player with a positive approach and comfortable working with systems and digital tools.

Where Are We

Our offices are based on Queen Street in Edinburgh’s city centre which has great transport links and plenty of amenities.

The office is the substantive place of work, with hybrid working agreements in place.

Who We Are

CPS is the organisation which represents community pharmacy owners and their teams throughout Scotland. We act as the single voice of these vital healthcare professionals as they deliver pharmaceutical care services to the people of Scotland on behalf of NHS Scotland.

We aim to continually develop and secure a contractual framework for the provision of pharmaceutical services, supported by a sustainable funding model which encourages investment in the network. We do this by negotiating with the Scottish Government on behalf of our members on all terms of service under the NHS.
