Dysart Pharmacy Team Honoured At Royal Garden Party
Published: 1st July 2026
The team behind Dysart Pharmacy, recently named Best Pharmacy in Fife 2025, were honoured guests at the King’s Garden Party at the Palace of Holyrood house. The invitation recognised the team's contribution to community pharmacy and patient care across Fife.
The Kirkcaldy-based pharmacy team were invited by the Lord-Lieutenant of Fife in recognition of the award, which celebrates outstanding contribution to community pharmacy and patient care across the region. King Charles and Queen Camilla hosted the Garden Party alongside The Princess Royal and The Duke of Edinburgh, welcoming around 8,000 guests drawn from all walks of Scottish life as part of Royal Week.
Representing Dysart Pharmacy were Superintendent Pharmacist Kevin Murphy, Prescribing Pharmacist Vicki, dispensing team members Steph, Scott and Donald, and delivery drivers Ron and Derek, which make up the core of the front-line team who together keep clinical care flowing to patients across Kirkcaldy and the surrounding communities every day.
Kevin Murphy, Superintendent Pharmacist, said:
"Today is a real honour for every single member of our team. Winning Best Pharmacy in Fife last year was a proud moment, but standing in the gardens of Holyrood house alongside The King and Queen — that's something none of us will forget. It's recognition not just of an award, but of the hours our pharmacists, dispensers and drivers put in week after week for the people of Kirkcaldy.
"Community pharmacy is often the first port of call for patients, and we take that responsibility seriously. To have that work acknowledged at this level, with an invitation from the Lord-Lieutenant of Fife, means a great deal to all of us."
Dysart Pharmacy provides NHS pharmaceutical services alongside a growing range of private clinical services to residents of Kirkcaldy and the wider East Fife area, and forms part of the Wellbeing Pharmacies Group.
