Breathing Space Day Marks 20 Years of Crucial Mental Health Support in Scotland
In a significant milestone for mental health support in Scotland, February 1st, known as Breathing Space Day, marks the 20th anniversary of the free and confidential telephone service, Breathing Space. Launched in 2004 and delivered by NHS 24, Breathing Space has evolved into a vital lifeline for individuals aged 16 and over living in Scotland.
Breathing Space offers more than just a listening ear; it provides practical advice and essential support during times of emotional distress. Over the past two decades, it has played a crucial role in the well-being of countless individuals across the country.
To commemorate this important milestone, NHS 24 invites pharmacy teams in Scotland to join in and support the campaign by sharing key messages and resources throughout 2024. The 'Breathing Space - 20th anniversary toolkit' and other publicity resources are readily available for download here.
