Reporting to the Superintendent Pharmacist, the role requires management of a busy community pharmacy located within Stevenston town centre which provides a variety of primary healthcare services to the local community.
The successful applicant will lead the pharmacy team, along with another pharmacist and two accuracy checking technicians, and will be responsible for the training and development of the team to deliver an exceptional patient care experience and lead on the development of services within the branch including, but not limited to, the development of Pharmacy First Plus.
The candidate will ensure that professional standards are maintained to a high level, ensuring compliance with company‑wide standard operating procedures, GPhC compliance and clinical governance.
The successful candidate will be supported by a network of experienced pharmacists and a well‑developed head office function.
Candidate Description
You will be an experienced fully qualified pharmacist registered with the GPhC with previous experience in managing a busy community pharmacy.
You will be a qualified independent prescriber with the ability to deliver a wide range of services to the community with complex healthcare needs.
You will be confident in your ability to balance both management responsibilities with your professional obligations to deliver a safe and effective working environment for staff and will have the ability to resolve difficult professional and interpersonal situations while building a network with other prescribing professionals within the local area.
You must have a valid GPhC registration, evidence of the right to work in the UK and be a current member of the Scottish Government PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) disclosure scheme.
