Reporting to the Superintendent Pharmacist, the role requires management of a busy community pharmacy located within Saltcoats Health Centre which provides a variety of primary healthcare services to the local community.
The successful applicant will be supported by a second pharmacist and an accuracy checking technician and will be responsible for the training and development of the team to deliver an exceptional patient care experience and lead on the development of services within the branch.
The candidate will ensure that professional standards are maintained to a high level, ensuring compliance with company‑wide standard operating procedures, GPhC compliance and clinical governance.
The successful candidate will be supported by a network of experienced pharmacists and a well‑developed head office function.
Candidate Description
You will be an experienced fully qualified pharmacist registered with the GPhC with previous experience in managing a busy community pharmacy.
You will be a qualified independent prescriber with the ability to deliver a wide range of services to the community with complex healthcare needs.
You will be confident in your ability to balance both management responsibilities with your professional obligations to deliver a safe and effective working environment for staff and will have the ability to resolve difficult professional and interpersonal situations while building a network with other healthcare professionals within the local area.
You must have a valid GPhC registration, evidence of the right to work in the UK and be a current member of the Scottish Government PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) disclosure scheme.
