Flucloxacillin PGD Dose Change for NHS Lothian and Borders
Published: 09/12/21
As part of a move to a regional formulary review process in the East of Scotland, both NHS Lothian and NHS Borders will very shortly inform contractors that the dose of Flucloxacillin permitted by the minor skin infections PGD under NHS Pharmacy First Scotland is changing.
A new PGD will be issued to support the move from 500mg qds to 1g qds - there are no other changes to the PGD in the revised version so the change to your practice should be minimal. We and our NHS colleagues would ask that you share this information with anyone you know that works within either Board, whether permanently or as a locum/relief Pharmacist.
If you have any questions, please contact the Board teams directly.
