Job Description

Station Road Pharmacy is seeking a motivated, professional and patient-focused Pharmacy Assistant to join our busy and growing community pharmacy team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service to patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing a welcoming and professional service to patients and customers.

  • Assisting with the sale of over-the-counter medicines and pharmacy products in accordance with pharmacy procedures.

  • Supporting the dispensary team with the safe and efficient dispensing of prescriptions.

  • Managing prescription collection and hand-out processes.

  • Ordering, receiving and replenishing stock, ensuring appropriate stock rotation and storage.

  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and organisation throughout the pharmacy.

  • Assisting with NHS and private pharmacy services where appropriate.

  • Ensuring patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.

  • Supporting the wider pharmacy team to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the branch.

Previous experience working within a community pharmacy is desirable; however, applications from individuals with strong customer service experience and a genuine interest in healthcare are also welcomed. Full training and support towards relevant pharmacy qualifications will be provided where appropriate.
