Teach & Treat Hubs for Independent Prescribers
Published: 5th October 2026
If you have completed your Community Pharmacy Independent Prescribing Training on the Community Pharmacy Scotland (CPS) / PSD Scotland (formerly NES) Programme, a Teach & Treat (T&T) session at one of the hubs is included as part of your programme.
Upon qualification as an Independent Prescriber and completion of the four mandatory Clinical Skills Days, you can apply to attend your session at one of the Teach & Treat Hubs.
The Teach & Treat Hubs are run by our team of T&T Lead Pharmacists who are experienced Independent Prescribers and provide excellent support for attendees in their ongoing independent prescriber development. Feedback from the sessions emphasise what a positive and worthwhile experience they are for attendees.
The Teach & Treat Hubs are available at a variety of locations across Scotland. You can choose which T&T hub you would like to attend, subject to availability.
Please contact your nearest or most convenient local HB Hub to organise a date to attend. Depending on the Hub, sessions may be offered on specific days of the week or/times to fit in with pharmacy workload.
You can find further details on the process and locations on your TURAS account at Check List for attending a T&T Hub, locations and HB contacts | Turas | Learn.
* Funding is for CPS/PSD Scotland funded employee CPIPs qualifying from January 2022 IP course onwards. If you are not eligible to attend, please contact enquiries@cps.scot to discuss options.
