Serious Shortage Protocols (SSPs) covering selected Estradot® transdermal patches and Creon® gastro-resistant capsules have been extended until 8th January 2027. Community pharmacy teams may wish to review the revised expiry date and ensure they remain familiar with the requirements of the existing protocols. The four SSPs covering Estradot® transdermal patches and the two SSPs covering Creon® gastro-resistant capsules have been extended until Friday, 8th January 2027.

The SSPs allow community pharmacists to substitute eligible prescriptions for specified Estradot® patches with the equivalent strength and quantity of Evorel® or Estraderm MX® transdermal patches in accordance with the relevant SSP requirements.
