Support Student Pharmacist Experiential Learning in 2025-26
Published: 05/03/25

Pharmacies across Scotland have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the future pharmacy workforce by supporting student pharmacist experiential learning (EL) in the 2025-26 academic year. NES (NHS Education for Scotland), in collaboration with the University of Strathclyde and Robert Gordon University, is inviting expressions of interest from training providers who wish to participate.
Why Get Involved?
By taking part in experiential learning, training providers can:
Support the initial education and training of pharmacists, ensuring a well-prepared future workforce.
Provide learning and development opportunities for their pharmacy teams, fostering professional growth.
Receive initial training and ongoing support from NES and both universities, ensuring a structured and beneficial learning environment.
How to Participate
Expressions of interest are now open for the 2025-26 academic year. Existing training providers have been contacted by NES to invite nominations. However, if your organisation has not been involved in EL before and would like to contribute, you are encouraged to get in touch.
For more information or to express interest, please contact NES at nes.elpharmacy@nhs.scot or visit the NES Pharmacy EL website.
Key Deadline
Nominations must be submitted by Tuesday, 15th April 2025.
This initiative is supported by NHS Education for Scotland, University of Strathclyde, Robert Gordon University, and NHS Scotland.
