Emma Ramage: Services Assistant

I began working for Community Pharmacy Scotland in October 2019 as a pharmacy services assistant after having worked in community pharmacy for 16 years.

I worked my way up through the ranks over the years to eventually become a registered pharmacy technician and then accuracy checking pharmacy technician. I moved from the pharmacy I was in to eventually help run a care home services room for the last 8 years. This was a very challenging but also rewarding job and allowed me to use all my skills to their potential.

I left community pharmacy in search of something new but not wanting my skills and experience to go to waste I joined the Community Pharmacy team at Queens Street. In my current role I have found having a good pharmacy background and knowledge extremely useful in being able to integrate into the role.

I am currently lead for Part 7 of the Drug Tariff, Adjusted Prices, and Shortages so if you have any questions around these subjects, I would be happy to help. I am also the liaison officer for our CP Lothian and CP Western Isles Committees.

Contact me if:

  • You have queries about Part 7

  • You have queries about Adjusted Prices

  • You have queries about or would like to report a shortage
