About Gordon
Having had a varied career in Community Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Manager, and later as a Contractor and a Community Pharmacy Practitioner Champion, I joined Community Pharmacy Scotland as Policy & Development Pharmacist in August 2024.
Community Pharmacies are often located in the heart of the communities in which they serve, and as such regularly become a focal point and major resource for their local populations. Having worked in such settings for many years, I am a passionate advocate for the work Pharmacy teams perform for their patients, having seen first-hand what a difference this trusted relationship can make. I aim to always carry this belief throughout my work at CPS.
In my role at CPS I help review and develop national services and policies, with a particular emphasis on NHS Scotland Pharmacy First and Pharmacy First Plus, Independent Prescribing and member support. However, my role is wide-ranging and varied, encompassing many different areas of healthcare.
Outside the world of Community Pharmacy, I am a keen football fan (team affiliations confidential for reasons of poor form), and occasional tennis and pickleball player.
