CPS Parliamentary Event - 2026 Manifesto

Published: 27/11/25

On Tuesday this week the CPS team hosted an evening reception at the Scottish Parliament to highlight and promote our Manifesto ahead of the 2026 elections.

We were bowled over by the attendance, with guests from the profession and beyond coming from all over Scotland and further to hear about our priority ambitions. Our aim was to start a conversation about how, with the right investment and infrastructure, the network could do more to Prevent, Detect and Treat ill health across the nation, and we are confident that we achieved this. The event was sponsored by George Adam MSP, with attendees hearing from our own Matt Barclay (CEO), Leanne Carey (Pharmacy owner and active IP at Barnton Pharmacy) and Jenni Minto MSP, Minister for Pubic Health and Women's Health.

The CPS team will now focus on following up on the leads from the event, and would like to thank all of our guests for having taken the time to come along and share in our enthusiasm for the sector.

You can read more about the Manifesto here, and we will continue to update you on our work as we head into 2026.
