Experiential learning placements

Monday, December 9, 2019

We have had some feedback from the Schools of Pharmacy that in some cases, undergraduate MPharm students out on experiential learning have not completed the expected amount of time in practice. Many of these students have weekend jobs in pharmacies and have experience of community pharmacy, however the placements are a requirement of their studies and will expose them to a different environment, supported by a structured program. They should attend all planned days at your pharmacy, particularly as each pharmacy is now supported by ACT funding which is conditional on this attendance.

If your allocated student does not attend, please contact the relevant school of pharmacy to let them know – these details should be in your experiential learning handbooks.

If you have any questions, please contact Adam in the policy office.
